Born in Ukraine, Katerzyna is a cheerful and spontaneous woman who had to flee from Ukraine because of war. She has a successful website where she teaches English to other Ukrainians. She also likes photography, but most of all she prefers to be in front of the camera.
We agreed to meet in a local café. Afterwards we went to the Wilhelmina Bridge in Maastricht. The westernmost steel bridge section was recently replaced by a bifurcated span. A staircase between the two ‘teeth’ of the fork leads from the Mosae Forum to the lower Maaspromenade. The sweltering summer day made this the most suitable location to take pictures under the shadow of the bridge.
